Arcade Fire are known for their interactive music videos, where you enter postcodes, or press Ctrl + Alt at the same time as Up and Down on your keyboard. However the video for Reflektor speaks in volumes, this video allows you to choose what of the video you consume. you choose which part of the video you want to see, this is completely in your viewpoint. It is very hard to filter what we consume and I feel that Arcade Fire are trying to leave behind a body of work that reflects how much they respect their fans as well as their position in the music industry. I love this project because the artist has focused on something we all have in common which is eating. he has gathered like minded people in a room to have a lick of the cotton candy. Built on site the interactive piece is something that visually looks amazing and is just a lot of fun, it engages all the senses and ultimately left feeling fulfilled with the piece.
